In a shocking incident, an Ola Electric showroom in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, was torched by a frustrated customer. The incident took place after the customer, identified as 26-year-old Mohammad Nadeem, reportedly felt ignored and neglected by the showroom staff after he had faced issues with his electric scooter.

The accused had purchased an Ola electric scooter last month. However, shortly after the purchase, the scooter began experiencing frequent technical issues, reports said. Feeling ignored after unheard complaints, the accused decided to take a drastic step. He arrived at the Ola showroom with a can of petrol, doused several scooters inside, and set them on fire. Fortunately, the showroom was closed at the time, and no one was inside, preventing any casualties. The estimated damage caused by the fire is around Rs 8 lakh, and about six scooters were gutted in the incident.

In response to the incident, Ola Electric issued a statement condemning the act of arson. The company stated, "There has been an incident of arson at one of our brand stores in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The perpetrator of this violent act has been identified, and an FIR has been lodged against the individual. We highly condemn such unlawful acts and will take all necessary legal measures to ensure appropriate and strict actions are taken to prevent such incidents in the future."
