Guard injured in Imphal bomb attack dies

IMPHAL: A 23-year-old village guard injured in a bomb attack at Tumukhong village in Imphal East district on Sunday morning, died in hospital, reports K Sarojkumar Sharma.
Chingakham Lamyanba, wounded in the blast, was rushed to a hospital, where doctors conducted an emergency surgery on him. However, he succumbed around 10.30 pm. The deceased's father, said: "As my son sacrificed his life for the motherland, I have decided to hand over his body to the people of Manipur."
Meanwhile, CM N Biren Singh said a delegation would be visiting Delhi to discuss the matter with central leadership.
