The Kerala assembly on Wednesday passed a unanimous resolution, requesting the Central govt to change the name of the state to "Keralam" in the Constitution and other documents, where it is currently written as Kerala.

'Keralam in Malayalam language'

In our Malayalam language it is ‘Keralam’ while in other languages it is called Kerala, said CM Pinarayi Vijayan who moved the resolution in the assembly.
