JAIPUR: Since the release of the final voter list by the state election department on October 4, more than 1,02,000 new voters have been added in the past 20 days. The process of adding new voters will continue till October 27 as announced by the Election Commission.
A senior state election department officer has revealed that from October 4 to 24, the number of voters in the entire state has increased by over 1,02,000.
He said that the voter count has now risen to 5,27,77,382, surpassing the previous count of 5,26,80,545. Among these, the number of service voters has increased by 1,42,037 in the last 20 days.
“Out of the 1,02,000 newly registered voters, 25,000 fall in the 18-19 age group who have successfully added their names to the voter list. On October 4, the count of these voters aged 18-19 stood at 22,06,000, which has now risen to 22,31,501,” the officer said.
