UGC NET Exam 2024 on June 18: Section-wise important topics you must revise

The National Eligibility Test (NET) is scheduled by the University Grants Commission for June 18, 2024, and admit cards will be issued on 15th June. The Junior Research Fellowship and assistant professor posts in Indian colleges and universities are determined in large part by the results of the NET exam. UGC NET Exam 2024: The University Grants Commission is all set to conduct the National Eligibility Test (NET) on June 18 2024, Tuesday. The UGC is expected to release the admit cards for the UGC NET June 2024 exam on 15th June, while the exam city information slip has been released today, 7th June. The UGC NET exam acts as a uniform examination to determine a candidate's suitability for an assistant professor post in Indian colleges and universities.
Additionally it acts as an eligibility test for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or for both the JRF and the assistant professorship.
The UGC NET exam consists of Papers 1 and 2. According to the official UGC NET 2024 exam schedule, both papers have offline multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates have three hours to finish both papers in one sitting.

Exploring the essence and features of effective communication, identifying obstacles to effective communication and strategies to overcome them, and mastering techniques and methods for fostering clear and engaging communication in an educational setting are key areas to focus on.

Environment: The environment section covers pollution-related questions, where you should be familiar with the types of pollution, their causes, and effects on the environment. Understanding the relationship between human development and environmental sustainability, the sources, benefits, and importance of renewable energy, and an overview of key environmental schemes and policies are important. Additionally, studying the types of natural hazards and strategies for mitigation and disaster management is crucial.
Higher Education: For higher education, gaining a historical perspective on education systems and practices in ancient India is beneficial. You should be well-versed in major educational initiatives and programs by the government, the focus on technical and vocational education, and the significance of value-based education. Knowing key educational institutions and their roles, as well as understanding the latest education policies and reforms, is also important.
Research Aptitude: The research aptitude section requires knowledge of ethical considerations and principles in research, various research methods and approaches, different research designs and their applications, and guidelines and best practices for writing a thesis. Additionally, understanding the utilization of information and communication technology in research is necessary.
Teaching Aptitude: In teaching aptitude, you should focus on different teaching methods and their effectiveness, understanding the role and responsibilities of teachers, elements that influence the teaching and learning process, and various assessment and evaluation techniques. Identifying and understanding the diverse characteristics of learners and familiarizing yourself with tools and resources that aid in teaching are also crucial.
Logical Reasoning: For logical reasoning, it is important to understand traditional Indian logical systems and their principles, solving analogy-based questions, differentiating between and applying deductive and inductive reasoning techniques, and analyzing and constructing logical arguments.
