Indian Navy Recruitment 2024: The Indian Navy has announced a recruitment drive for unmarried men for the position of Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR) Medical Assistant. The online application process for these posts will commence on 7 September 2024 and will continue until 17 September 2024. Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Medical Assistant position, candidates must have passed the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their main subjects. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in these three subjects is required, along with at least 40% in each individual subject.
Age Limit and Physical Requirements
Applicants must have been born between 1 November 2003 and 30 April 2007, and must be unmarried. Additionally, candidates should have a minimum height of 152.5 cm.
Selection Process
The selection will occur in two phases. The first phase involves shortlisting candidates based on their 12th-grade marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The second phase includes a written examination and a Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

Salary and Benefits
Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs 14,600 during the initial training period. Upon completion of the training, they will be placed in Level-3 of the Defence Pay Matrix, receiving a salary between Rs 21,700 and Rs 69,100, along with a monthly Military Service Pay (MSP) of Rs 5,200 and Dearness Allowance (DA).
The final merit list will be based on the marks obtained in the written examination, with candidates who clear the PFT, PST, and Medical examinations featuring in the final selection list.
