NEW DELHI: In a much-awaited announcement, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the Class 12 board exam results today, May 13, 2024. This declaration comes as a moment of both relief and elation for the countless students who sat for the examinations conducted in February and April 2024.
The results reveal a commendable performance by the students, with an overall pass percentage of 87.98%.
This marks a slight increase from the previous year's pass percentage of 87.33%. It's worth noting that the total number of schools and exam centers has also seen a notable rise, with 18,417 schools and 7,126 exam centers facilitating the smooth conduct of the examinations, as compared to 16,728 schools and 6,759 exam centers in the previous year.
The Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) was conducted from February 15, 2024, to April 2, 2024. Following rigorous evaluation processes, the results have been declared on May 13, 2024.

Gender Disparity in CBSE Class 12 Results: Girls Excel, Boys Lag BehindThe data also sheds light on the gender-wise performance, with girls outshining boys yet again. The pass percentage among girls stands at an impressive 91.52%, while boys recorded a pass percentage of 85.12%. Notably, the pass percentage among transgender candidates witnessed a decline, standing at 50.00% compared to 60.00% in the previous year.
It's evident from the statistics that girls have exhibited a significant lead over boys, surpassing them by a margin of 6.40%. This trend underscores the consistent dedication and academic excellence demonstrated by female students.
