It was a delight for art lovers of Aurangabad as they came under one roof when eight female artists displayed their work at the recently held
exhibition in the city. Held at Malti Art Gallery, near
Kalda corner of Aurangabad, the artists –Manisha Kurekar,
Gauri Narsapur, Vjayaya Paturkar, Sharda Uttarwar, Rekha Jakhete, Shalda Mendhekar,
Mamta Kulkarni and Megha Padhyay created art of different medium on the canvas.
Th exhibition titled –Thousand Shades of Her, saw
paintings of various types. Though most of them used acrylic colours as their medium, each painting had a different style to it. Modern art got a touch of traditional Madhubani art and miniature touch, Gujrat's Mad Art and various other types of paintings were at display at the exhibition.
