The Femina Miss India pageant marked its 60th anniversary with a rand state finale in Uttar Pradesh. For the first time ever, the state winner was crowned on home soil. Outshining over 500 contestants who vied for the title, Divyanshi Batra emerged as the winner, clinching the title of Femina Miss India Uttar Pradesh 2024.

The event, held at
Bennett University in Greater Noida, witnessed fierce competition among aspiring beauty queens.
A distinguished panel of judges, including fashion designers Samant Chauhan and Mandira Wirk, beauty maven Blossom Kochhar, and Mr India 2014 – 1st Runner-up Puneet Beniwal, adjudged the candidates based on their merits. “I have been judging pageants for years but at this edition, I am very impressed by the girls who have come for auditions. They are very well-spoken, confident and well-groomed for success,” said Mandira.

After multiple rounds, five girls made it to the top 5. “This has been my dream for a very long time. I have worked very hard, and will continue to do so, and just be myself,” said the young winner, who straight away makes an entry into Femina Miss India pageant’s Top 30.

Blossom Kochhar, reflecting on her experience as a judge for the contest, praised the winner for her exceptional qualities. “When judging a contest like Miss India, we look for elegance, poise, and confidence, and this young woman embodies all of these traits. She seems to be somebody who may even have a chance at the final contest,” Kochhar said.
