Arjun Rampal was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau to appear before them in connection to the ongoing probe into a drugs case. According to ANI, the Bollywood actor has reached the office of the investigating agency in Mumbai. He was previously asked to appear before the NCB on December 16, but the actor had sought time till December 21. "Actor Arjun Rampal seeks time till 21st December, to appear before NCB," an official told ANI.
On November 9, officials from the Narcotics Control Bureau had conducted raids at Arjun Rampal’s properties in the city and they have previously questioned his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades too. The NCB had also arrested Paul Bartel, a friend of Arjun Rampal, in the case.
Gabriella’s brother Agisilaos Demetriades was also arrested by the NCB and later granted bail. The special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court had granted him bail on a surety of Rs 50,000 and also asked Agisilaos to submit his passport and not to leave the city without informing the Narcotics Control Bureau.
