'GOAT' featuring Vijay in the lead role, hit theaters on September 5 and opened to a grand reception at the box office. The film made an impressive start by grossing solid numbers at the box office, and the film completed the second week of theatrical run with Rs 420 crore. 'GOAT' is holding its screens well despite multiple new releases, and it dominated the new releases during the weekend to peak well at the box office. According to Cinetrak, the box office collection of 'GOAT' stands at around Rs 215 crore in Tamil Nadu at the end of day 18. The third-weekend collection of Vijay's film is estimated to be Rs 16 crore, and it made the film successfully surpass the 200 crore mark in the home state.

Directed by Venkat Prabhu, GOAT boasts an ensemble cast, with Vijay in a dual role. Additionally, Trisha and Sivakarthikeyan's special cameo appearances sharing the screen with Vijay turned out as one of the standout moments.
