Every Beat Counts

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading causes of death globally. According to WHF, 80% of premature deaths from CVD are preventable. In order to address this pressing public health issue, and reduce the death burden of CVDs, 29th September is observed as World Heart Day (WHD) every year. This year, the theme for this day is 'Use Heart for Every Heart'. On the occasion of World Heart Day this year, Timesofindia.com is hosting a digital conclave, titled TOI World Heart Day Symposium 2023: Every Beat Counts, bringing together renowned doctors from all across the country with the objective of raising mass awareness about cardiac conditions, latest research in the treatment of these ailments and preventive measures.
