Jyeshtha Amavasya holds a special significance in Hindu religion as Vat Savitri Vrat and Shani Jayanti will also be observed on the same day. Jyeshtha Amavasya is going to be observed on June 6, 2024. People offer prayers to their ancestors also to get rid of Pitru Dosha.

As we all know that Vat Savitri Vrat will be observed by married hindu women so they worship Vat Vriksha and pray for the well being of their husband and seek blessings of the elders..!!

Shani Jayanti

Shani Jayanti is also observed on this Jyeshtha Amavasya so people make the best use of this day and offer prayers to Lord Shani Dev by lighting diya, donating mustard oil or black sesame seeds, reciting hanuman chalisa and chanting Shani Mantras..!!

Amavasya holds an immense significance in Hindu religion and this day is dedicated to worship ancestors and forefathers so people perform pitru tarpan, pitru puja on this day and feed Brahmins and donate food and clothes to the needy ones..!!

This day has its great importance in Hindu religion so a large number of devotees visit Ganga Ghats to take a holy dip in Ganga river and offer their prayers to Maa Ganga and show gratitude..!!
