France bids farewell to Paralympics

A summer sporting bonanza which started under pouring rain on July 26 with a remarkable opening ceremony on the Seine River was ending Sunday with the Paralympics closing at a rain-soaked Stade de France.

A stunning show

Paris lowered the curtain on successful back-to-back events that captivated fans and raised the bar high for others to follow. The stadium was lit up in the blue, white and red colors and witnessed a spectacular ceremony.

Best Games for India!

India had their best-ever Paralympics in Paris as the country secured a total of 29 medals -- 7 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze -- finishing 18th on the table.

China finish top of medals table

China topped the 2024 Paralympic Games medal tally, securing a total of 220 medals that included 94 gold, 76 silver and 50 bronze.
