Born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, Donald is the fourth of five children of Frederick C. and Mary MacLeod Trump. After completing his graduation, Trump followed his father into his real estate business. By 1971 he managed to involve in large-scale building projects in Manhattan. In 1980, he opened the Grand Hyatt, which made him the city's best-known developer.

In the 2016 presidential election, Trump emerged victorious as the Republican nominee, defeating the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, despite losing the popular vote. However, in his second attempt for the White House, he faced defeat against Joe Biden, despite garnering over 74 million votes. Biden secured the majority in the Electoral College with 306 electoral votes, while Trump received 232.

But Trump never accepted his loss and claimed that his mandate was "stolen".

Trump is currently facing indictments in federal and state courts related to his attempts to undermine the 2020 election, mishandling of classified documents, and involvement in a "hush money" scheme with a porn star. Despite the charges, he maintains his innocence, claiming he is a victim of politically motivated prosecutions—a stance the Biden administration disputes.
