In her heartfelt post, Ranjini reflected on completing her water fast, extending it to 15 days to mark her achievement. She described feeling an emptiness that she likened to a fresh canvas, ready to embrace a new beginning in life. Despite the challenges, including intense hunger towards the end, she expressed a sense of freshness, cleanliness, and lightness.
Addressing common inquiries about weight loss during fasting, Ranjini clarified that while she lost 4.7 kilograms over the 14 days, fasting should not be viewed solely as a weight-loss method. Instead, she emphasized the holistic benefits it brings to the body, cautioning against using it solely for shedding pounds without understanding its broader impacts on health.
Ranjini highlighted the mental fortitude required to endure such a fast and acknowledged the shift in her perspective on food. "At 42 years, I can confidently say that nothing has impressed me all my life like water fasting has," Ranjini remarked.
