Exclusive - Riteish Deshmukh reveals wife Genelia's reaction to him hosting Bigg Boss Marathi; says 'She is someone who always supports me'

Bollywood superstar Riteish Deshmukh is all set to host the upcoming season of Bigg Boss Marathi. Known for his versatile acting skills and charismatic presence, Riteish is expected to bring a fresh energy to the fifth edition. During the launch of the show in Mumbai, Riteish spoke exclusively to ETimes TV about his wife Genelia Deshmukh's reaction and the reason behind saying yes to hosting Bigg Boss Marathi 5.
On saying yes to hosting
It is a format that I’ve always loved and adored and engaged myself as a viewer. I am just happy that I got the opportunity to host the Marathi Bigg Boss. I won’t say I’m nervous, I feel excitement would be the right word. I am eager and anxious to know who the participants, contestants are and how things will unfold because there are a lot of new things starting with the new host itself. I am pretty excited. There were a lot of times when I would ask Genelia if I should go inside Bigg Boss. I know Genelia won’t be able to stay inside for a longer duration and within two hours, she would be out of the show. We both are Bigg Boss fans and watch the show together.
Genelia's reaction on turning host for Bigg Boss
Whatever happens in my life, the first thing I do is share with her as her opinion matters to me a lot. She always thinks from a point of view of what best suits me. She gives me that perspective. Genelia is someone who has always supported and she thought since I like the show so much and she knows how passionate I am for Marathi language and cinema. She said you would love doing this so I am excited about it.
Further at the launch of Marathi Bigg Boss, Shiv interacted with the media during which he revealed Shiv Thakare is his favourite, he shared, "Having watched so many seasons in both Hindi and Marathi, I sometimes mix them up. When I'm asleep, it feels like there's a crossover happening. The lines blur, and we often discuss who was in which season. However, if I had to pick one contestant I enjoyed watching, it would be Shiv Thakare. I liked watching him in both the Marathi and Hindi versions."
The wait is finally over! The Bigg Boss house will soon be buzzing with fun, drama, and craziness. With 100 days of contestant clashes, entertainment is guaranteed. In just 15 days, Bigg Boss Marathi will have its grand premiere on July 28 at 9 pm. Following the premiere, the show will air daily at 9 pm.
