India’s oldest fusion rock band,
Indian Ocean, is back with a bang as they are on a multi-city tour with their much-awaited new album Tu Hai. From emotional ballads to energising rock anthems, the album offers a wide variety of sounds and styles thanks to the involvement of various brilliant artists. The band will perform in Bengaluru on Friday at Phoenix Market City.
Through Tu Hai,
the band takes a spiritual and reflective route as it addresses topics from what’s happening to our environment and its species to talking about celebrating nature, God, renewal and rebirth.
“Every song is fairly long, and has had its own journey. Some of the songs are made of ideas we have been playing for 10-15 years,” band member and guitarist Nikhil Rao had told us in an earlier interaction.
“The album was recorded. mixed and ready for release in 2020. But we lost three years due to Covid. Then we were touring, traveling, doing film work, and other projects we are still hoping will see the light of day. Our next, for sure will not take another ten years,” he added.
