He revealed that Misha is actually unwell and that with the arrival of Zain, there is now lot of work in the household. Here’s what he exactly tweeted, “The last few days have been tough. Misha running very high fever and Zain just came home. Have had to miss some promotions. Just 9 days to go for Batti Gul meter chalu to release but being a parent is above all else. Hope to resume promotions very soon.”

And just like any other film, this film also had its own ups and downs.
Here's all you need to about the Shahid Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer:
These days, the moviegoers have deemed content as King over an overly-exaggerated show. 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is helmed by Shree Narayan Singh so you can bet your money on a well-grounded story. Just like his last film 'Toilet: Ek Prem Katha', he will shed some light on the plight of the common man in relation to the electricity shortage in rural areas and high bills. It narrates the story of a man’s fight against power distribution companies. Set in Uttarakhand, the film has already piqued the interests of the audience.
Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be reuniting after their last stint together in 'Haider'. The film was much appreciated by critics and also set cash registers ringing at the box office. Now, with 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' the duo are back together along with Yami Gautam. Pictures of Shahid and Shraddha rocking a de-glam avatar while shooting for the film have surfaced online. According to reports, Sasha and Yami will be seen as lawyers in the film.
Post losing a legal battle to John Abraham's production banner over 'Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran', producer Prerna Arora lost out on 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' too. The film came to halt, reportedly due to non-payment of dues. After clearing the air on various online reports, Bhushan Kumar stepped in to salvage the project and replace Prerna. The film was back on the track and wrapped up production soon after.
Shahid Kapoor's 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu' is based on electricity theft and hefty bills despite power cuts. The film got to experience a similar situation when they were shooting in Uttarakhand. The shoot reportedly stalled for more than 12 hours due to power failure. Though generators were arranged, filming resumed only by early evening.
Shahid and Shraddha made the most of this time and got to know from the locals that approvals for hydroelectric projects are still pending from the ministry of water resources.
Shahid Kapoor fell ill on the sets of 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'. The actor who is playing a lawyer in the film reportedly had a scene where he had to deliver dialogue in a high pitch, and hurt his vocal chord while doing the same. First, it was thought it was just a viral fever, however, after the doctor's examination, it was revealed that it was due to the dialogue delivery. The actor came back to Mumbai from Dehradun to take some rest before heading back again to complete shooting.
