MSMEPCI aims to create 10k jobs in Nagaland, would promote RTGS, KTGS

Pradeep Mishra Sarkar, chairman of MSMEPCI, announced that the organization will promote the Retail Trading Guarantee Scheme (RTGS) and Kisan Trading Guarantee Scheme (KTGS) starting September-October. These initiatives aim to aid struggling traders and farmers and to create 10,000 jobs in Nagaland this year. By next year, MSMEPCI targets to generate 25,000 jobs in Nagaland.

NEW DELHI: Pradeep Mishra Sarkar, chairman of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise Promotion Council of India (MSMEPCI) on Monday said that the council aims to work for the promotion of two important initiatives, Retail Trading Guarantee Scheme (RTGS) and Kisan Trading Guarantee Scheme (KTGS) in addition to creating channels for 10,000 jobs in Nagaland within this year while addressing a press conference.

He further said that the initiatives - RTGS and KTGS would commence in the month of September-October this year.
These schemes are designed to offer financial assistance to disadvantaged traders and farmers who have struggled to double their income, he said.
He stated that the MSME PCI would promote local farmers by directly providing Minimum Support Price (MSP) rate for their products through KTGS whereas RTGS is aimed to enhance the business and increase its income.
Additionally, Sarkar said that MSME PCI together with the state and union government would work in collaboration to create awareness campaigns of these schemes and resolve to reach out to every section of the people to create 10,000 employment opportunities by October this year.
"As part of its 100-day programme, we will be able to generate employment for approximately 25,000 people across Nagaland by next year,” He said,

He further added, to contribute to the development of Nagaland, MSME PCI will provide special attention to the state.
The chairman said “ We are on a mission to provide comprehensive support to MSMEs through advocacy, knowledge dissemination, and strategic collaborations towards building a resilient and globally competitive small business sector."
Earlier, Nagaland Advisor for Industries and Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu Kense said that even though the industrial development in Nagaland is still in its early stages, it has indeed shown promising growth.
She reflected on the data and said that the sectoral growth rate of the secondary sector has hiked from 2.83 per cent in 2012-13 to an impressive 12.8 per cent in 2022-23, which throws light on the potential of the state for further development.
