Influence of vibration on the quality of welds

Rajeev Ranjan in his thesis investigates the influence of low-frequency vibration-assisted welding on the mechanical properties and microstructure of shielded metal arc welded mild steel plates. Significant improvements in hardness, tensile strength, and impact strength were observed. These findings hold promise for industries requiring high-strength welded joints, including automotive and aerospace sectors.

Dr Andrew Y. Ng is a globally recognized leader in Artificial Intelligence. Dr Ng is a pioneer in machine learning and online education and has changed countless lives through his work in AI. He has authored and co-authored over 200 research papers in machine learning, robotics, and related fields. In 2023, his name was included in the Time100 AI list of the most influential AI persons in the world. He is the founder of DeepLearning.AI and founder & CEO of Landing AI. Dr Ng is also an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University’s Computer Science department.
