Ritabhari even mentioned Buchki as ‘Habla doggy’, an adorable Bengali connotation of ‘stupid dog’. Ritabhari wrote, “How you brought joy in our lives! Stay this happy, wherever you are, Shona! Heaven must be celebrating today to have you. We love you and miss you so so much. Rest in peace Bnuchki.”

Ritabhari’ sister, actress and acting coach Chitrangada Satarupa too took to social media and shared a few glimpses of their lives with Buchki. Chitrangada wrote, “My wonder child, my Buchki, came into our lives like a surprise. She was rescued from an illegal puppy trafficking situation, and from that day, she became family. Buchki didn’t just enter our home; she found her place in Maa’s lap and made it her world, her throne. My heart breaks to write her name in past tense. Wasn’t expecting to say goodbye to her so soon and so suddenly. I wish I had reached Calcutta a day earlier or a few hours earlier. My adorable, pampered and big baby sister.” The actress added, “Waking up in my room in Calcutta won’t be the same anymore. Instead of your warmth, there’s just a rush of emptiness surrounding me. I’ll miss holding you, hugging you, calling out to you. I’ll miss the way you’d wish me good morning, jumping onto my bed and pushing Nancy, Bubbaloo, everyone away, using your big size to claim my lap as your throne with your possessiveness. Death is unavoidable, but accepting it feels impossible, so out of control. A part of my life is gone. The only relief I have is knowing you left peacefully. My heart is broken beyond repair. I’ll miss you my baby, forever, my gorgeous Buchki.”
Ritabhari is currently gearing up for her next release ‘Bohurupi’. The film, produced by Windows and directed by the director duo Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy is set to release this Pujo. The film features Abir Chatterjee, Shiboprosad Mukherjee, Koushani Mukherjee as the lead cast apart from Ritabhari. ‘Bohurupi’ is set to have a theatrical release on October 8.
