Sharvari Wagh is indeed gaining attention with her recent film 'Vedaa,' where she stars alongside John Abraham and Abhishek Banerjee. Her role in 'Vedaa' marks another step in her growing career as she continues to make her mark in Bollywood.
As she gears up for her next big project, 'Alpha,' under the
Yash Raj Films (YRF) banner, it's interesting to reflect on her journey and to know that Sharvari had auditioned for films like 'Sui Dhaga' and 'Thugs Of Hindostan' before landing her breakthrough roles.
In a recent podcast with Shubhankar Mishra, Sharvari talked about her journey with Yash Raj Films (YRF). She shared that she auditioned for many movies in the past but faced rejections. However, her journey with YRF began when she was attending Anupam Kher’s acting workshop. One of her batchmates from the workshop joined the casting team under Shanoo Sharma at YRF and recommended Sharvari’s name and it started her career with YRF.
She mentioned that after that day, she auditioned for nearly all YRF films but did not secure any roles. She also talked about auditioning for Sui Dhaaga and the Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan film Thugs of Hindostan.
The actress mentioned that during auditions, the makers typically don't disclose the project's name. However, she was aware of 'Sui Dhaaga' when she auditioned for it. She also expressed that Aditya Chopra might have recognized her growth, talent, and dedication, which led him to cast her in the upcoming spy film 'Alpha' alongside
Alia Bhatt.
She shared her experience filming Alpha with Alia Bhatt, noting that the shoot has begun and each day feels like a dream. Observing Alia Bhatt's performance in front of the camera has been a remarkable learning experience, showcasing her exceptional acting skills.
'Sui Dhaaga' stars Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma and received positive reviews. In addition, 'Thugs of Hindostan,' featuring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, and Fatima Sana Shaikh, was a big failure.
Meanwhile, on her work front, Sharvari is busy preparing for 'Alpha,' her entry into the popular spy universe where she will be performing high-octane action sequences. Bobby Deol is reportedly playing the main antagonist. The film is YRF’s first female-led spy movie, currently being directed by Shiv Rawail.
