            TEST

One of the leading and fearsome batsmen of this generation, Virender Sehwag is known for his no-nonsense style of batting. His mantra is simple 'smacked the ball out of the park'. Regarded as one-day material due to his unorthodox batting technique, Sehwag now holds multiple records in Test cricket. His second triple century (319 off 304 balls) against South Africa in Chennai in March 2008 is the highest Test score made by an Indian and fastest in the history of international cricket (300 off 278 balls). The 'Nawab of Najafgarh' is also one of the only four batsmen in the world to score two triple centuries in Test cricket. He scored his first triple ton (309) against Pakistan at Multan in 2004. He has accumulated runs in Test cricket at a faster pace (strike-rate 81+) than anyone in the history of cricket. Sehwag made his ODI debut more than a decade ago in 1999 against Pakistan but has to wait for another two years for his first Test match. He made his mark immediately by hitting a century (105) on debut against South Africa at Bloemfontein in 2001. Sehwag also hold the fastest century ever scored by an Indian in one-day international cricket (off 60 balls) against New Zealand at Hamilton in March 2009.
