Born on July 18, 1998, Ishan Kishan is a budding cricketer hailing from Jharkhand. Ishan is a first-class cricketer, who became the captain of India’s team for Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is wicket-keeper and left-handed batsman. For the 2018 Indian Premier League, he was selected to the Mumbai Indians team for Rs 6.2 Crores.
Ishan first grabbed eyeballs in November 2016 when he managed to score 273 runs against Delhi in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy. It was noted to be the highest score by a player for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy.
Ishan considers former Indian team captain M.S. Dhoni and former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist as his idols from the field.
