Marfa Lights, also known as the Marfa Ghost Lights, are a well-known phenomenon now, and they continue to baffle people who have witnessed them.
What are Marfa Lights?
Marfa Lights are typically glowing orbs or distant lights that appear in the night sky. These lights always seem to be floating, and not projected by some light source. They are always seen near the town of Marfa, hence the name.
For some reason, the Marfa Lights always seem to be hovering, moving and changing colours. How is this even happening?
Could it be extra-terrestrial? We never know.
Given the nature of this phenomenon, it is obvious that something like this can only be a popular tourist attraction. The Marfa Lights have become a famous tourist attraction over the years, and have drawn visitors from all around the world. For those who feel that seeing is believing, you might want to plan a Texan holiday soon.
To view this phenomenon, there is a Marfa Lights Viewing Center, located about 9 miles (14.4 km) east of Marfa on Highway 90. The site was established in order to provide a designated and safe area for tourists and curious individuals to observe the lights.
Speaking of unknown territory, the possibility of lights being reflected off of a residential area is also negated because the areas above which these orbs are seen are practically uninhabited. The fact that the town of Marfa itself is located in the middle of nowhere, doesn’t help with any possible explanations.
