King Fahd International Airport, Saudi Arabia
Located in Dammam in Saudi Arabia, King Fahd International Airport covers approximately 315 square kilometres. This makes King Fahd International Airport the largest airport in the world by land area. The airport is named after King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi, and is also famous for being one of the most swanky airports in the world. One can expect the airport to accommodate numerous top-class facilities to ensure comfortable travel experiences. Fun fact, the King Fahd International Airport is bigger than the city of Mumbai.
Al Maktoum International Airport, United Arab Emirates
Located in Dubai, Al Maktoum International Airport is already on its way to replace the Dubai International Airport. On April 28, 2024, the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum announced a major expansion of Al Maktoum International Airport. If reports are to go by, the new airport, to be operational by 2030, will be five times larger than the current Dubai International Airport. The new airport will cover 70 square kilometres, and will have a capacity to accommodate up to 260 million passengers per year. The new Al Maktoum International Airport will have five parallel runways, 400 aircraft gates, and the best of technology. The new airport is going to be the most expensive airport in the world.

The airport is famous for unusual architectural works, and several conspiracy theories. Denver International Airport serves as a hub for several major airlines, and plays a crucial role in the regional economy. The airport features several ‘unusual’ artworks. From bizarre paintings to a larger-than-life blue horse statue named Blucifer, things at Denver International Airport are quite interesting to say the least.
Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, United States
The airport, located in Atlanta, Georgia, covers around 78 square kilometres. The Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger numbers and air traffic.
