Back in 2003, RICCO and the Kishangarh Marble Association came up with an ingenious solution to resolve the problem of fast-accumulating marble waste. They started to dispose of marble slurry from surrounding marble processing units into one dumping ground, to ensure a clean and pollution-free environment. Read less
Once you reach Dumping Yard Kishangarh, also called the Moon Land of Rajasthan, you will find yourself surrounded by a picturesque landscape of white snowy grounds and mounds that resemble beautiful snow hills. This vast expanse of land, covered in a dreamy blanket of snow is in reality, just marble waste generated during marble cutting and processing.
Back in 2003, RICCO and the Kishangarh Marble Association came up with an ingenious solution to resolve the problem of fast-accumulating marble waste. They started to dispose of marble slurry from surrounding marble processing units into one dumping ground, to ensure a clean and pollution-free environment. And since then, this marble surplus has accumulated to such an extent that you can now witness a formation of lovely snow plateaus, and an extensive stretch of captivating white sand. The view is absurdly surreal and simply breathtaking.
