As stated in a notice on the portal’s official website, maintenance work is set to commence at 8:00 PM IST on August 29, 2024, and will continue until 6:00 AM IST on September 2, 2024. During this time, the Passport Seva Portal will be completely inaccessible to all users, including Indian citizens and various government agencies. This outage will also affect the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Regional Passport Offices (RPOs), the Bureau of Immigration (BOI), Internet Service Providers (ISPs), the Department of Posts (DoP), and local police authorities.
