Donald J Trump was the 45th president of the United States (2017–2021) and is the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election.
Trump is also a real estate developer and businessman, having owned, managed, or licensed his name to various properties, including hotels, casinos, golf courses, resorts, and residential buildings both in the New York City area and internationally.
On May 30, 2024, Trump became the first former president to be convicted of a crime, when a New York jury found him guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records related to a 2016 hush-money payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels.
Trump is also known for being the third US president to be impeached by the House of Representatives, after Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton in 1998, and the only president to be impeached twice.
