Air India Express, currently in the process of merging with AIX Connect, is set to introduce its new brand in the coming months, along with plans to expand both its fleet and network.
During a town hall meeting that combined virtual and physical elements and involved the staff of Air India Express and AIX Connect, Managing Director Aloke Singh outlined the vision for the merged entity.
He emphasized the importance of establishing a significant market presence and achieving cost-efficiency.
Both of these airlines are affiliated with the
Tata Group.
Air India stated in a press release that the unveiling of the new Air India Express brand is expected to occur in the next couple of months.
According to Singh, this vision revolves around key differentiators, including creating meaningful connections, delivering unique experiences, and offering top-tier value with the warmth of Indian hospitality.
"Our ambitions will ride upon our huge fleet and network expansion, in the domestic India market as well as short-haul international region -- unlocking synergies with the merger of the two entities, and network integration with Air India; growth and expansion for a meaningful market presence as well as cost-efficiencies; and achieving excellence in all areas, becoming a preferred brand for a confident new India," he said.
Earlier this year, Air India Express and AIX Connect launched a unified website allowing users to book and manage services from both airlines on domestic and international sectors. There is also an integrated passenger service system.
