Minor detained for girl’s gang rape in Ajmer village

Ajmer: The Mangliyawas police here on Saturday detained one of the minors accused of the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl on December 27. Police said the minor was produced before the juvenile court from where he was sent to a correction centre.The other accused has fled from the village and police are looking for him at different places where his relatives live, police said.
The girl consumed poison two days after her gang rape and family members took her to hospital.She was discharged from the hospital on Saturday, investigation officer deputy SP Manish Badgujar said. He said that police took her for medical examination on Saturday.
The girl, a resident of Mangliwayas village, had gone to defecate in the nearby jungle when the accused came and gang-raped her. They threatened her not to tell anyone or they would kill her. The girl went back to her house and on December 29 she consumed poison. After the girl’s father submitted a report, a case was registered under sections of IPC and POCSO Act against two minors who lived in the same village. The investigation was entrusted to deputy SP of Pushkar, Manish Badgujar.tnn
