TIRUPATI:
TDP's Nellore parliament constituency candidate Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy and Nellore city assembly constituency candidate and former minister Ponguru Narayana ended their election campaign with a massive roadshow from VRC centre to the Moolapeta centre in the city on Saturday.
All eyes are on the Nellore parliament constituency, where TDP's Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy is contesting against YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy in a no-holds barred poll battle.
Similarly, for ex minister Ponguru Narayana, who narrowly lost in the previous elections, making a strong political comeback is essential in the 2024 elections, as he is contesting against YSRCP candidate Mohammad Khaleel Ahmed.
Addressing the people at the roadshow, Vemireddy appealed to the people to pledge support to the NDA alliance to fast-track development of Nellore in the next five years.
"The YSRCP govt has taken the state backwards in terms of progress and development. No new industries came to the state and the existing ones too exited the state due to the fear psychosis unleashed by the ruling party. If new industries have to come and jobs have to be created, people should vote out the YSRCP in the upcoming elections", Vemireddy underlined.
Ponguru Narayana asked the people to recall the development witnessed at Nellore during the TDP regime between 2014-2019 and compare it with the development brought to Nellore during the YSRCP regime in the last five years.
"After coming to power, the TDP govt will complete the TIDCO houses and handover to the beneficiaries. The underground drainage systems will be improved and Nellore city will be transformed into a real smart city in the next five years", Narayana assured.
