Karnataka's top performers in
NEET-UG exams have seen significant changes in their rankings following the release of revised results Friday - the state's previous All India Rank (AIR) one holders, Kalyan V, Sam Shreyas Joseph, and Arjun Kishore, have dropped to ranks 53, 64, and 71 respectively, though still remaining in the top 100.
Padmanabh Menon has emerged as the new state topper, jumping from rank 74 to 21, and securing a spot among the top 20 male rankers nationwide. Two former top 100 rankers from state, Prajnan P Shetty & Khushi Maganur, are no longer on the list. However, Bhargava Bhat (AIR 84) and Nandan P (90) have newly entered the top 100. tnn
No state girls in top 100 AIR list In category-based rankings, Rushil K (AIR 147) has made it to the top 10 SC candidates nationally, while Samrudh R (AIR 1166) is among the top 10 ST ones.
The revised results have left Karnataka without female representation in the top 100 AIR list. NEET (UG) 2024 was conducted by the
National Testing Agency on May 5 for over 24 lakh candidates across 4,750 centres in 571 cities.
A re-exam was held on June 23 for 1,563 candidates affected by time loss. The test was offered in 13 languages. Results may be used for various medical, nursing, and veterinary admissions by central and state entities, adhering to their respective eligibility criteria and regulations.
