A man allegedly duped a resident of Kishangarh of Rs 52,000 after offering to buy a secondhand bicycle through a classified website, sending him a QR code for scanning and then debiting the cash from his bank account.

CHANDIGARH: A man allegedly duped a resident of Kishangarh of Rs 52,000 after offering to buy a secondhand bicycle through a classified website, sending him a QR code for scanning and then debiting the cash from his bank account.
Shubham said he had posted an advertisement on OLX on February 2. He received a call from the accused. The deal was stuck at Rs 1,500.

The fraudster said he would send the money online. Later, the accused sent a scan code on the mobile phone of the seller.
The cheater allegedly debited Rs 52,000 in six transactions from his account on March 1. Later, Shubham filed a complaint at the SSP public window at the police headquarters. After verifying the facts, the cyber cell registered a case under different Sections of the IPC.
