Haridwar: A 35-year-old constable posted in Dehradun was found unconscious in Haridwar on Sunday evening. He was shifted from the district hospital to AIIMS-Rishikesh where he died during the treatment.
SHO (Haridwar) Kundan Singh Rana said on Monday, “The constable was a resident of Rudraprayag district and was posted in Dehradun. He was found unconscious on Sunday evening and we referred him to AIIMS-Rishikesh as his condition was not good.”
The SHO added: “The constable’s car was parked in the area in which we found his police uniform and other items.
We’re waiting for the autopsy report to initiate further inquiry.”
Police sources said that the cop was found in a half-naked condition at Saptrishi under City Police limits while his car was parked close by. “No injury mark was found on the body and an autopsy was being conducted to know the cause of death,” police said.
