MUSSOORIE: A landslide near Siya village on Tuesday night halted traffic on NH-707A after a portion of the road was washed away. While small vehicles were allowed to pass through on Wednesday morning, large vehicles remain prohibited.
This road connects Mussoorie with Gangotri and Yamunotri, a popular route for Char Dham pilgrims.
Officials said a 10-metre section of the retaining wall on the road collapsed after heavy rainfall.
"The road should be fully functional in four to five days," said executive engineer Navneet Pandey.
