Alirajpur gets ‘break’ from heavy rain
Indore: Alirajpur district, which had received around 200mm rainfall on Sunday night and moderate rainfall on Monday, too witnessed a sunny day on Tuesday. The heavy rainfall in the last two days had prompted collector Abhay Bedekar to declare a holiday for schools in the district on Tuesday.
“We had asked the schools to remain shut on Tuesday as there was rain forecast.

Some villages had already been cut off from the headquarters due to water flowing above culverts/roads. The situation was, however, much better on Tuesday as the district received light rain and the sun shone brightly during the day hours,” he said.
The collector said that the administration was keeping a close watch, especially on low-lying areas, while the teams were on alert to extend the required help to locals, if needed. tnn
