Indore: After nearly a week of heavy
rainfall with mercury remaining closer 20 degrees, Indoreans woke up to a sunny morning on Tuesday. As the sun shined brightly through the morning, the mercury reached 30 degrees Celsius, a six-degree rise in just two days.
By the late afternoon, however, the clouds appeared again in the city skies. In evening, it started to rain and till 8.30pm, Met office had recorded 6.4mm rainfall in the city area.
As of Tuesday, Indore had received 725 mm of rainfall, exceeding the seasonal average by over half an inch. The humidity levels also rose to 92 percent due to the decrease in rainfall.
According to regional meteorological department, the city was likely to witness similar weather conditions for the next few days, with intermittent drizzle while heavy rainfall was unlikely in Indore region for the next couple of days as the low-pressure area over northwest Jharkhand is expected to weaken gradually.
