Dense fog is likely to engulf 30 districts of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday and Sunday. Very dense fog conditions may affect Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the weekend.
Delhi saw the lowest maximum temperature of the season yet and very dense fog in some areas where early morning visibility was a mere 25 metres.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum and minimum temperatures on Saturday are likely to be 19 and 10 degrees Celsius. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for moderate to dense fog on Saturday and Sunday, which will be an improvement.

The year will not end with a chill in the air, but there is a slight chance of the minimum temperature dropping to up to 16 degrees Celsius in the first week of January, said weather officials.
