Mangaluru: A cobbler, who has been working in a tiny, dilapidated shop for years, was overjoyed to receive a new petty shop on Tuesday. This gesture was made by the BJP Dakshina Mandala Backward Classes Morcha to mark former mayor Diwakar Pandeshwar's birthday. The new shop is located in front of the RTO in Mangaluru.
Speaking at the event, Mangalore City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath remarked, "Raju Swamy, who mends shoes, footwear, and umbrellas, has been running his shop near the RTO for the past 40 years, and his previous shop had completely deteriorated.
