PUDUCHERRY:
CPM Puducherry state secretary R Rajangam on Thursday urged President of India
Draupadi Murmu, who is also the visitor of
Pondicherry University, to dismiss PU vice-chancellor
Gurmeet Singh after the Madras high court directed the CBI to register a case and probe into misappropriation of Rs 2.25 crore funds in the university.
In a statement, Rajangam said Singh should not be permitted to participate in a function in which the President will be participating as the chief guest in Puducherry.
