Vadodara: Social media users have been in stitches since Tuesday after a govt hospital in Mahisagar listed “bairu kaidyu” (bitten by wife) as the reason for a man's treatment.
The case paper, which went viral on social media platforms, has become a source of much amusement.
While this Gujarati phraseology, which is considered demeaning for women by many, had everyone laughing, senior district health officials were more worried about how the case paper got leaked.
On Wednesday, Mahisagar’s chief district health officer Dr CR Patel launched an inquiry to get to the bottom of the matter. tnn
