Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh DGP Dwaraka Tirumala Rao took stock of the rescue operations on Tuesday and visited several waterlogged areas in Vijayawada, particularly the Ajit Singh Nagar. He assured people that the police department stands by them during this difficult time. The Director general of police distributed food, water, and emergency medicines to the flood-affected victims and advised them to take precautions to prevent the spread of diseases, that are more likely to spread in low-lying areas.
