Vijayawada rainfall disrupts rail services: Trains cancelled and diverted

VIJAYAWADA: In order to ensure passengers' safety following the heavy rainfall in the Vijayawada division, railway authorities have cancelled and diverted several trains.
The Vijayawada DRM officially confirmed this, stating changes have been implemented starting from Saturday and this has affected operation of multiple trains in the area.
The officials have also announced helpline numbers at key railway stations in order to assist public with information regarding the trains running.
Rail traffic was affected on Hyderabad-Vijayawada route after the track near Mahabuabad got washed away. Several trains have been stopped at different stations due to this.
