On Mashable India, casting director Mukesh Chhabra told Remo D’Souza that Shraddha auditioned for 'Kai Po Che' in 2013 but wasn’t selected. Recalling her early days in the industry, he said, “She’s very hard-working. Her first audition for me was for Teen Patti. Then she did a couple of films that didn’t work and there was a downfall. She then auditioned for Kai Po Che! but that didn’t happen. She wasn’t selected… Then there was a break. Then 'Aashiqui 2' happened.”
Chhabra recalled how Shraddha has always been eager to audition for roles, maintaining the same energy since she started. Remo also praised Kapoor, mentioning that she worked exceptionally hard on the track 'Sun Saathiya' from 'ABCD 2', completing the shoot in just 7 hours.
Although Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor never collaborated again after 'Chhichhore', their project together remains memorable. The coming-of-age drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, completed 7 years of its release last week with the cast members sharing their favourite memories from the shoot and honouring the memory of their late co-star SSR.

'Chhichhore' was inspired by Nitesh Tiwari's time at IIT Bombay and also featured Varun Sharma, Naveen Polishetty, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Tushar Pandey, Saharsh Kumar Shukla, Shishir Sharma, and Mohammad Samad.
On the work front, Shraddha starred in 'Stree 2,' which became a major box office hit. Despite competing with John Abraham’s Vedaa and Akshay Kumar’s 'Khel Khel Mein', 'Stree 2' had a successful run becoming one of the highest earning films of the year.
