Apple iPhone 16 launch event: New watch faces coming to Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 models

Apple unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10 at the iPhone 16 launch event, highlighting its thin design and advanced display. Priced at Rs 46,900 in India, it includes new health features and faster charging. A new Satin Black color for the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and additional watch faces were also announced.

Apple unveiled the latest Apple Watch Series 10 models and a new colour option for last year’s Apple Watch Ultra 2 models at the “It’s Glowtime” iPhone 16 launch event. The company claimed that the The Apple Watch Series 10 is the thinnest Apple Watch ever and offers the biggest and most advanced display. It also features new sleep apnea notifications, faster charging, water depth and temperature sensing, plus new health and fitness insights and intelligence in watchOS 11.
The Watch Series 10 starts at Rs 46,900 in India. Meanwhile, the company hasn’t launched the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and has only introduced a new Satin Black colour for last year’s Apple Watch Ultra 2 model.
During the event, Apple also announced that it will roll out two new watch faces for the Apple Watch Series 10 and another for the company’s rugged smartwatch which is designed specifically for fitness and adventure enthusiasts. Here are the new faces which are set to arrive for the Apple Watch models.

Apple has announced that the Apple Watch Series 10 will feature with two new faces: “Flux” and “Reflections” out-of-the-box. Meanwhile, the company also noted that these watch faces will arrive for the existing Apple Watch models.
During the event, Apple said that the Flux watch face offers a “bold graphic design that fills the screen with color second by second.” However, its important to note that both of these Apple Watch faces will be available to all Apple Watch models, but only the Apple Watch Series 10 will be able to offer that upgraded experience while in always-on mode.

Additionally, the Apple Watch Series 10 now features a faster refresh rate for its display. Previously, the always-on display of the Apple Watch refreshed once per minute, but with the Series 10, the refresh rate has been increased to once per second, which is enabled by a more power-efficient wide-angle OLED display.

On the other hand, the “Reflections” watch face which is also powered by the faster refresh rate. Apple said: “The Reflections watch face features a distinctive shimmering dial that reacts subtly to user movements, and is designed to complement the highly reflective quality of the new titanium cases.”

Apple Watch Ultra: New watch face


Apple also unveiled the first Hermès version of the Apple Watch Ultra which features an exclusive Maritime watch face with graphic Cape Cod numerals. The watch's bezel displays seconds, and the Action button can be used to activate a Regatta countdown timer which makes it ideal for timing activities on and off the water.
