Fatou Samba

K-pop girl group BLACKSWAN's rapper fatou samba is releasing her solo mixtape EP album, 'Letter 1 - Adaeh,' on December 8 at 6 PM KST. The EP album includes the title track, 'Devil made the deal for me,' and features five songs. Samba wrote the lyrics and produced the entire mixtape. Jang Tae In (SEOUL ARCHIVE) contributed to the mixing and mastering. Samba, originally from Senegal and raised in Belgium, is the only African performer in the K-pop industry. Despite facing challenges, she has solidified her place as a trailblazing figure in K-pop. Samba's solo mixtape album showcases her personal narrative and commitment to hip-hop. BLACKSWAN will also make a comeback early next year.

Sriya Lenka, who made India proud by becoming the country's first-ever K-pop star, has returned to her home Odisha from South Korea to a rousing welcome.

Since her birth on Senegal's coast, the ocean has always given Ndeye Yacine Dieng life. Her grandfather was a fisherman, and her grandmother and mother processed fish. Like generations of women, she now helps support her family in the small community of Bargny by drying, smoking, salting and fermenting the catch brought home by male villagers. They were baptized by fish, these women say.
