Donald Trump's claim of sending a photo of his house to a Taliban leader has triggered widespread online reactions. Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s assertion that he sent a photo of his own house to a Taliban leader has ignited a wave of memes and online commentary. During the debate with Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump discussed his negotiations with the Taliban before the 2021 US troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, referring to himself as President at the time.

"He is still the head of the Taliban. & I told Abdul don't do it anymore, you do it anymore you're going to have problems. And he said why do you send me a picture of my house? I said you're going to have to figure that out, Abdul. & for 18 months we had nobody killed," Trump said during the debate.
Trump's comments sent social media into a meme flurry. One X user asked, “Now that the dust has settled, can we go back to why Trump sent a guy named Abdul a picture of his house?”

Another questioned, “I wonder if Trump really gonna send Abdul that picture of his house tho ??” A third user shared a video with the caption, “This what happens when Trump shows #Abdul his house,” using a dramatic movie scene for effect. Another tweet read, “Why are you sending me a picture of my house? You’ll have to figure that out Abdul ??????. I was cracking up so hard yesterday watching the debate.”

Trump defended his debate performance in a Wednesday appearance on "Fox & Friends," calling it “one of my better debates, maybe my best debate.” He also expressed some hesitation about participating in future debates.
The debate attracted a record 57.5 million viewers across seven TV networks, exceeding previous debate viewership numbers. However, reactions from within the Republican Party have been varied. Senator Lindsey Graham labelled Trump’s performance as a “missed opportunity,” while former ally Chris Christie criticized the debate preparation.
