Agartala: Chief minister Manik Saha urged the youths working outside to return to the state and join hands with the govt mission to make Tripura an ideal state in the country while addressing a felicitation programme for deserving students who succeeded in their secondary and higher examinations this year in Bardowali of the city.
Tripura has produced hundreds of scientists, technocrats, doctors and management experts in the last 50 years and most of them have been serving the top institutions and organisations of the country at the decision-making level.
A large number of Indian talents, inhabitants of Tripura working brilliantly in Europe and America, can contribute to the development of the state, the chief minister said.
“Though geographically small, Tripura has huge talent serving across the globe for the last few decades. Many of them have become institutions by themselves. We want them to return to their home state and lend their support to make Tripura one of the best states,” Saha said, adding that Tripura is full of opportunities and unique resources that need to be explored.
Encouraging the young talents, he underlined that there is no substitute for hard work, and counselling is also necessary.
In India, students are under pressure to achieve high marks, which sadly leads to unfortunate incidents. Students should engage in meditation, and physical activities, and get involved in social work besides studying for holistic development where parents and guardians are required to motivate the children, he suggested.
“In many other states, Tripura youths work in prominent positions, such as in AIIMS hospitals. I urge these youths to return to Tripura. Many are also working abroad. I encourage them to come back to Tripura to make the state an ideal place. We are making all necessary arrangements,” the chief minister said.
